Shivani is a currently a freshman in high school and is a part of the school's Student Government Association and it's Future Business Leaders of America chapter. This year, she had received and award for FBLA called the Future Level Business Achievement Award. In fact, she has been the president of FBLA and Jr. Beta Club in her middle school. In addition, Shivani is very interested in academics, taking multiple honors classes, accelerated math, and AP in her first year of high school. She also has scored very well in the SAT's through the Duke Tip Program in the 7th grade, achieving a nationally recognized score in math and state recognition for Reading and Writing & Language. Scoring a perfect score on her first math (Algebra) End of Course Assessment in addition to winning math competitions and participating in chess competitions. Aside from academics, Shivani is also a swimmer and dancer who had even won first place along with her team at Dance Fever, a dance competition judged by a well-know choreographer. .

One of Shivani's common activities include attending (and this year graduating) Tamil School, an organization that teaches and informs students to be aware of Tamil culture and read and write our language in addition to sharpening our vocabulary. She is also a swimmer, a traditional Indian dancer (on a team), a clarinet player, has played in multiple chess tournaments in the state. Some of her additional interests include painting and drawing, public speaking, reading, and volunteering.
